Jurien Bay is a coastal town and holiday resort in Western Australia, about 2.5 hours north of Perth, known for its marine park, excellent fishing, and opportunities to see Australian Sea Lions.

The area offers water-based activities like diving and snorkeling, nearby attractions such as The Pinnacles Desert, and is a popular destination for tourists and fishing enthusiasts.

Located on the Turquoise Coast in Western Australia, 220 km north of Perth.

The Jurien bay marine park is home to large colonies of Australian Sea Lions, seabirds, and various fish, making it ideal for snorkeling and diving.

It’s a prime spot for fishing, particularly for Western Rock Lobster, with options for fishing from the jetty or deep-sea fishing.

Jurien Bay has become a popular holiday resort with activities like skydiving and tours to see the sea lions.

Jurien Bay lies on Indian Ocean Drive, a new coastal route completed in 2010, on this route Jurien Bay is 220 km north of Perth and 195 km south of Geraldton.

The town of Jurien Bay is surrounded by many national parks and reserves.



Sandy Cape Beach

Sandy Cape is a white beach situated in a small, sheltered bay offering great swimming, snorkelling, fishing and sandboarding.

The turnoff to the 7km unsealed road to reach the campsite area is located 10km north of Jurien Bay.






Green Head

Dynamite Bay is a stunning bay in Green Head which is sheltered from the strong winds off the coast by a low lying rocky cliff that circles around the beach.


Swim in the calm turquoise waters or laze on the soft sandy beach. Make a day of it and bring along a picnic that can be enjoyed on the sand or on the grassed area overlooking the beach.


The still waters provide the perfect conditions for snorkelling. Witness the abundant marine life including hard and soft corals and a diverse range of fish that reside within the bay.


Take a walk out along the rocky peninsula to watch windsurfers tackling the winds out in the ocean and look back towards the shore for a beautiful photograph of the bay.


Cast a fishing line out into the ocean and try and catch your evening meal.
